Specializing in newborn photography, I create timeless memories of your baby’s first days. With a focus on comfort, safety, and beauty, I bring everything needed to your home or welcome you to my cozy studio for an unforgettable experience.
Welcome to the world of cozy and professional photoshoots for your little ones!
I always strive to make the process as comfortable and enjoyable as possible for both parents and their baby. Below you’ll find all the essential information and recommendations to ensure your photoshoot goes perfectly.
Where Do Photoshoots Take Place?
1. At-home photoshoots
I’m happy to come to your home, bringing all the necessary props and equipment. All you need to do is prepare a suitable space:
• It should be spacious enough to accommodate the props and lighting.
• Ideally, darken the room by closing curtains or blinds to create a cozy atmosphere for the shoot.
2. Photoshoots at my home studio
• Some types of shoots, like Smash Cake (cake smash sessions) or studio maternity sessions, take place at my home.
• My studio is equipped to provide a comfortable and safe environment for your session.
Hygiene and Safety
• All my props undergo thorough cleaning with an LED lamp before each photoshoot.
• I ensure that every accessory and fabric is safe for the baby’s skin.
• Your baby will be in a safe and comfortable environment throughout the session.
How to Prepare for the Photoshoot
1. Preparing your baby
• Sleep: Please try not to let your baby sleep too much before the session – we aim to have them peacefully sleeping during the shoot.
• Feeding: Make sure your baby is well-fed before the session begins. This will help them remain calm.
• Hygiene: Change diapers as needed throughout the session.
2. Preparing the space
• Choose a quiet and cozy room where your baby will feel comfortable.
• Ensure the room is warm (this is especially important for newborn sessions).
Photoshoot Process
• Colors and style: I discuss the main colors and style of the session with the parents in advance. You’ll have a selection of props and fabrics to choose from.
• Props: I bring everything needed – backdrops, blankets, wraps, baskets, and other accessories. You don’t need to buy or prepare anything extra.
• Duration: A session can take between 1 to 4 hours, depending on the package. We take our time to ensure the photos are perfect.
Deposit and Booking
To confirm your session time in my schedule, I require a $50 deposit via Zelle:
• This guarantees that your session time is reserved for you.
• The deposit is applied toward the total cost of your package.
Photoshoots Are a Special Moment in Your Life
The moments of newborn and childhood are fleeting, but photographs preserve these memories forever. Every session is not just a series of pictures; it’s a story you’ll revisit time and again.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. What if the baby is fussy during the photoshoot?
This is completely normal. We can take breaks for feeding, soothing, or changing diapers. I am always patient and work at the baby’s pace.
2. How early should I book the photoshoot?
It’s best to book your session 2–4 months in advance to ensure availability.
3. How do I schedule the photoshoot date?
• You let me know your expected due date.
• I add 10 days to that date and select the closest available date in my schedule.
• If your baby arrives earlier or later than expected, I adjust the date flexibly to ensure the photoshoot happens at the optimal time.
4. What is the best age for newborn photography?
The ideal time for a photoshoot is 5 to 14 days after birth. During this period, babies sleep more soundly and are easier to pose.
5. How long does a photoshoot take?
A photoshoot can last from 1 to 4 hours, including time for feeding, soothing, and diaper changes.
6. Which packages include photos with parents?
Parent photos are included in:
• Family Package
• Platinum Package
• Family Lifestyle Package
These packages give you the opportunity to create complete family memories that you’ll cherish for years to come.
7. How should I prepare the space for a photoshoot?
• Choose a spacious room with a comfortable temperature (around 78°F).
• Try to darken the room by closing curtains or blinds to create a cozy atmosphere for the shoot.
8. How will you use our photos?
By default, I sign an agreement with parents that allows me to use the photos for advertising and posting on my social media and website.
If you prefer to keep the photos private for personal use only, I offer a confidentiality option for an additional $50.
9. Can I select additional photos?
Yes, absolutely! After the session, I’ll send you a gallery of unedited photos, and you can choose additional images for editing.
10. When will we receive the final photos?
Edited photos are usually ready within 2–3 weeks after you make your selection. If you need them sooner, please let me know in advance.
11. What should I bring to the photoshoot?
For home sessions, I bring everything needed. Parents only need to prepare the space, ensure a calm environment, and have essentials for the baby: milk, diapers, and wipes.
12. What happens if we need to cancel or reschedule the photoshoot?
If anything changes, please notify me as soon as possible. I strive to be flexible and will offer the nearest available date. However, deposits are non-refundable but can be transferred to another date.
